When freedom needed heroes
To answer duty's call,
You packed your bag and left home,
For the greater good of all.
And though I can't be with you,
I still do understand,
You have an important job to do,
In a distant foreign land.
You represent so many things,
Even though you are not here,
Courage, Faith, and Honor,
The message is quite clear.
So, until your job is finished,
And you're back home to stay,
Remember, you're my Hero,
And in my prayers each day.
